EGM result: Majority NO vote

The Country Club called an Extraordinary General Meeting on Sunday 25th August 2024 at 10.00am.

The auditorium at the CCSGB premise was full with standing room only up the back and they kept the door to the auditorium open for those members who were seated just outside to also participate in the meeting.

The General Meeting was called for members to consider and vote on the following resolution. To declare:

(a) a part of the Club’s land at Vincentia (Proposed Non Core Property) to be non-core property of the Club but only for the purposes of the development (Proposed Development) set out in this Memorandum. This is to allow a disposal to Oakstand NSW Pty Ltd (or its nominee) (Oakstand) to allow the Proposed Development to take place; and

(b) another part of the Club’s land at Vincentia to be non-core property but only for the purposes of grating easements or other disposals to consent authorities or utility or service providers which may be required for the Proposed Development. This land will not be part of the Proposed Development and will not be disposed of to Oakstand but only relates to possible easements which may be required for the Development.

The relevant parts of the Vincentia Land which were presented on a map (as attached to the Notice of General Meeting) was displayed as a slide on the large screen of the auditorium, that identified “The Proposed Non Core Property” shaded in blue and “the area for easements etc” delineated in red.

A number of members spoke for and against the resolution, with a silent vote following.
