Andrew Irvine

Andrew brings to his role as President a lifetime of experience in the hospitality industry, culminating with 18 years as owner/operator of the Victoria Hotel in Wagga Wagga. After holidaying here with uni mates and then family from the 1980s, Andrew made the move to Vincentia in 2016. A keen golfer and cyclist, he is involved with Marine Rescue Jervis Bay and Vincentia Rural Fire Brigade.

Rosalie Wood

Rosalie recently retired from a 35 year career as a software engineer and Project & Program Manager within the Australian Defence industry. During this time, she worked on simulation and training systems such as flight  and ship simulators, classroom training systems, and satellite communication systems. With extensive experience of complex engineering and technical challenges Rosalie held membership in professional project management organisations. Rosalie and her husband moved to Vincentia 10 years ago and is currently Treasurer for the Vincentia Women’s Golf Club.

Peter Laver, AM

Peter retired from the Royal Australian Navy after a 40-year career spanning Command and corporate management appointments. He has a strong background in leadership and management of large complex organisations, together with expertise in strategic planning to ensure their future success. He has extensive corporate expertise in leading not for profit institutions operating at multiple sites with diverse membership bases. He is also a graduate of the AICD Company Director’s Course. He and his wife Suzanne retired to Vincentia in early 2019 and are active members of the Jervis Bay community. Peter serves on the Vincentia Men’s Golf Committee and as Veterans Golf President.

derek frew

Born in Nowra and returned to the area during and after a successful 40 year career in the Royal Australian Navy. Derek is experienced in strategic analysis and development, planning and management. He has tertiary qualifications in investigation, reporting and is a qualified Lead Auditor. Derek has worked internationally as an Australian Defence Force representative and managed multi-dimensional projects.

wayne pryor

Wayne recently retired after holding senior
management positions in the Dept of Defence and the food industry. He is a Graduate from the Australian Institute of
Company Directors and was awarded the Australia Day Medallion in 2010 for his work with Defence. He has lived in Vincentia for over 25 years and enjoys golf, sailing and other water sports. He is an established watercolour artist and was past President and Life member of Jervis Bay and Basin Arts.

Lyn Hay

Lyn worked in K-12 and tertiary education for over 35 years as a teacher, university lecturer and researcher (PhD). Lyn runs her own business which provides professional learning, consultancy and research services for the K-12 and tertiary sectors, and library and information science sector. Much of her work with organisations involves strategic planning and development, and evaluation research. She has held committee positions with national and state professional associations, including Vice President – Operations and continues to work at the national level with the information profession. Lyn holidayed in the Shoalhaven for 40 years, and in 2020 she and her husband purchased a home in  Vincentia. Since joining Country Club Vincentia, Lyn has been Vice Captain and is currently Captain of Vincentia Women’s Golf.

Anna Everts

Anna worked for over 44 years in both the non-profit and commercial sectors
predominantly as a counsellor and advocate - working in rehabilitation with injured workers under the WorkCover Act, people with disabilities, and a strong involvement with Defence veterans and their widows while managing Legacy’s Pension Department for 17 years. In recognition of this work Anna was awarded a Centenary Medal. After settling in Jervis Bay in 2005 she worked for 10 years in IRT nursing homes specialising in welfare issues. Since retiring in 2017 Anna has been involved in promoting local arts, environmental matters, and the well-being of our community. 

Robert Christlo

Robert is a retired Building Surveyor with over 40 years experience in the regulatory side of development and building. He has extensive experience in assessment,
approval and regulatory oversight of all types of buildings and developments as well as undertaking policy work and being a member of various development advisory panels. His working career has been with metropolitan and regional councils with the bulk of his career in the Shoalhaven.
Vincentia has been his home for 35 years and he is a long- term member of Vincentia Golf Club. He tries to stay fit with outdoor activities including swimming and surfing.

Noel Burke

Noel's career began with Deloitte & Co in Auditing and Accounting before moving into IT Systems Development working with major companies in southern Africa and Australia in senior IT Management roles, and finally in Boston USA as Vice President, Client Services with Sungard. On retiring to Vincentia over 20 years ago, he engaged in community endeavours, including JB Coastal Patrol and served as Chairman and Managing Director of Bendigo Community Bank at Sanctuary Point for five years. Noel has served the Vincentia golf community as Vice- Captain, Captain and for five years, VGC President. In this role, he was a signatory to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of the members of the VGC.

Kathy  WILLIAMS (GODWIN)

Kathy has been a Vincentia resident for over 36 years, working and bringing up family. Kathy is a passionate advocate for community health and well-being who brings her skills and experience as a Primary Health Nurse Consultant to our Communications sub-committee. Kathy has worked in the Healthcare space for over 40 years as an Emergency Clinician, General Practice Nurse Specialist, UOW Academic & Researcher, and as a Primary Health Care Consultant, including strategic, clinical and business & infrastructure development. As an APNA Board Director & member, Kathy provided National policy consultation, publications, conferences & education. Kathy has worked on groups developing professional standards for nurses, midwives & GPs including DVA (10yrs), Kidney Health Australia, Dept of Health, & Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

MARK WILLIAMS

As a recently retired and fairly new Vincentia resident, Mark brings his skills and experience as a Certified Enterprise Architect to our Strategy Sub-Committee. A major strength is his ability to make informed decisions with well-developed problem-solving skills, research and analytical skills, sound judgement and resourcefulness. Mark has wide ranging expertise in developing IT Strategy, use of Enterprise Architecture and the governance of technology project portfolios and their alignment with business strategy. As either an employee or a consultant, he has helped businesses across a range of industries including Higher Education, Energy/Utilities, Government and Entertainment.
